There are many different types of interior premdor doors on the market. If you’re looking to reinvigorate your home, you don’t need to feel as if you’re stuck with whatever was already installed when you moved in. Consider some of the following options if you want a fresh start:
1 – Sliding Doors
Sliding doors are easily among the most popular options. The traditional glass door is what’s most commonly thought of, but they can even be constructed with wood. This will allow you to divide rooms without disrupting any elements within them. You can have a lot more space since you don’t need to worry about the clearance of a traditionally swinging door.
2 – Passage Doors
Passage doors are the more common form of hinged, swinging door. These are best used for bedrooms and main entrances. You can implement them for literally any room provided you have the space however. You can purchase entire units with the doors already hung, or standalone slabs as well. Outside passage doors will accumulate wear and tear around the frames over time, which is perhaps the only real downside.
3 – Pocket Doors
Of all the newer styles for interior doors, pocket doors have gained the most traction over time. While technically based on the sliding door, pocket doors pull apart in the middle and the tracks are more recessed. These make for wonderful bedroom or closet doors. You might also consider these for large full cabinet areas in the kitchen.
Of course, this only scratches the surface. From the most traditional to newer exotic forms, there are a lot of options in front of you if you’re on the prowl for a new door installation. For even more ideas, you can always check out the latest premdor interior design.
