Barcelona: Since it intends to become one of the top three smartphone gamers globally, India will once more be an integral market for Nokia, a leading company executive has stated.
The company, once the undisputed leader of the mobile phone area, today works through HMD Global and launched the Nokia 6, Nokia 5, Nokia 3 along with a revived version of the iconic Nokia 3310 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) here.
“By June, these goods will be launched globally and India will act as a vital market for us again. Our attempt is to source 100 percent from the nation because of tax benefits,” Ajey Mehta, Vice President-India to get HMD Global India Ltd., told IANS on the sidelines of the annual event.
“We will make sure that we have a renewed existence in 250 cities and towns before we create new products out there.
“Our core strength is currently offline but we’ll also go on the internet to reach a wider audience. But online and offline product ranges will be different,” he stated, adding that a focus on center experience, design, quality and also a pure Android experience will induce the bid to be among the top three smartphone gamers worldwide.
“The market was cluttered with undifferentiated goods and there’s fatigue being detected. People are currently currently looking for offerings which we wish to provide. We will aim to develop into the people’s new and also have a presence in flagship brands in addition to in the low-price segment,” Mehta stressed.

Developed by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 cellular platform and Qualcomm Adreno 505 graphics chip, Nokia 5 includes a 5.2-inch IPS HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass.
Thin, light and durable, the 52 (significantly less compared to 4,000) Nokia 3310 delivers 22-hour talk-time and also a month-long stand-by. The device can be found with a matte finish having a gloss finish, along with Blue and Grey, both in four colours — Yellow and rugged Red.
“We will stick to the core values of Nokia such as consistency, reliability, simplicity, human touch, confidence… but implement them in a more contemporary way so that it’s attractive to the new customers. We will need to receive the best from the past and target new customers,” Mehta told IANS.
Nokia announced that it had authorized company HMD Global to produce cell phones and pills.
HMD has reached agreements with both Nokia and Microsoft for its usage of a few design rights and also the Nokia brand. HMD is planning to devote some 400 million euros to advertise the Nokia brand.
